EVA KHOURY
Eva is an artist, educator, and playful curator based in Brooklyn, NY. They like making videogames, hosting events, and helping weird communities happen. They are enthusiastic about working and collaborating on community organization, games curation, event planning, 3D art and animation, writing, illustration, game design, production, puppet shows, performance art, live sound engineering, and probably some other stuff.
They studied Digital Arts and 3D Animation at Pratt Institute, where they were a co-founder and the president of the Institute's GameLab. In 2022, they were an apprentice with the Bread and Puppet Theater. Previously, they were a member of Babycastles, an adjunct teaching 3D Animation for Games at NYU Game Center, a volunteer working on a tabletop RPG distro for incarcerated people with Books Through Bars NYC, and an educational simulation designer at Ten Thousand Feet. They were also the manager (and sound engineer, and Saturday night bartender) at Wonderville.
Currently, they run operations, marketing, events, and support the retreat at the Recurse Center, a creative programming retreat, and are a member of Boshi’s Place, a nonprofit collective and events space for all things art and games in Brooklyn NY. Seasonally, they are a visiting instructor of 3D game art at Pratt Institute Game Arts program, a reader for the literary journal, Smoke + Mold, and a puppeteer with the Bread and Puppet Theater.
They are available for contract work and collaboration on interesting projects. Please reach out if you have one, or if you just want to say hi.
